Dear Tammy,
Thanks so much for the quilt that means a lot to me. I was in South Africa and therefore couldn’t respond at once, came back only on Monday.
Your quilt came to me at a time I needed encouragement and moral support the most. It was a great miracle how it got to me.
I didn’t know you existed – neither you, me. But I believe God asked you to make this quilt for a lady who lived in Africa and you didn’t know who the person was and how you were going to get it to me.
But I know that in a most miraculous way, God showed it to you, when you went in to church one day and you met a lady whose son was coming to Livingstone, Zambia. Then you knew instantly that you needed to send that quilt, and this lady’s son accepted it.
The story from there is, Marcos, (the lady’s son )- was coming to our school with a team of young people from ORU. And they were staying with a lady called Janet Berner who is working at my school as an Education Consultant. Janet had organized the team to spend their entire time in Livingstone, helping us to paint and upgrade our school. The team did a great job, painting the walls and making each class-room come alive, with Scripture verses and paintings. This school was going to accommodate over 200 orphans who had lost hope in further education after their parents death. But God had different plans for their lives, He was holding out Hope for them through this school.
Towards the end of their stay, the team wanted to come to my place one evening to ask me how I got the vision for such a project. Marcos came with a parcel tucked under his arm and I didn’t know what it was.
After I shared my vision, Marcos walks right up to me and hugged me, saying, “This then was made with you in mind, this is for you.” He also said, that the Lord said to him, he would know the person when he met her.
So Tammy, I was greatly encouraged to know that the Lord was thinking of me and that He could show me a special favour through people who didn’t even know me.
Working in Africa, can get very lonely sometimes, the work is so demanding and the needs never ending. But through all these things, it is so encouraging to know that GOD SEES, AND HE CARES.
love you so much and thank you so much for being so obedient.
You are a faithful servant of the Lord and may He richly bless you – my dear.
With loads of love and care,
Ranji
